Barbara Bouwkamp was out and about in Laurium recently and came across these hard working youngsters, helping to melt the remaining piles of snow. It’s a Yooper thing, to get out there and shovel the snow piles left from plowing or snowblowing, to spread it out so it will melt faster. I’m sure these little guys have seen Dad or Mom out there pecking away at the snow piles, so they decided to take a turn at it themselves. Even the kids are sick of snow and want it gone.
Today’s video adventure, takes us to Mont Ripley in May a few years ago, when a couple of skiers weren’t quite ready to give it up for the season yet. They made pretty good use of the remaining piles on the ski hill.

Our neighbor does the same thing with his snow piles. We prefer the "Laurium Glacier" method waiting to see how long it will take the piles to melt.
