The Keweenaw is home to two figure skating clubs for young folks in our area and they both held their annual Ice Skating shows this weekend. Our first photo is from the Calumet Figure Skating Club, shared here by Judy Byykkonen. Her granddaughter is the second little lady from the left.
The Copper Country Skating Academy from the Houghton area, is the subject of the second photo, snapped by Sara Beth. Her daughter is the third young lady from the right.
Months of preparation and practice is put in by these youngsters, coaches and parents, in order to pull these programs together like they do. Memories in the making there for sure.
