NOTE: Just a reminder, that Fall here on the Pasty Cam lasts longer than it actually does here UP North. There are just so many gorgeous photos from this year, with leaves actually still glowing on the trees late into October, that we just have to keep them coming for a bit here on these pages.

Zach Halkola commutes from Tamarack to Ontonagon during the week for his job and this time of year he gets the bonus of colorful trees along the way, not to mention hills of hues in the distance. He mentioned that it’s a spectacular drive with Fall in full gear. I imagine that it makes the drive there and back much more enjoyable with so much color to ooh and ahh over along the way.

That Eagle Zach captured, was actually guarding a road kill on the side of the road, making sure no other critters got any before he was done with his breakfast. He looks like he means business, too, so I hope Zach didn’t get chased back into his vehicle after snapping this one.

Speaking of critters, a few weeks back, we had a video of a bear that was enjoying a backyard hammock. Today we have the sequel to that, where the woman bought a new hammock for the bears, after they wrecked the first one. These bears just love that hammock play.

And Eagles are HUGE birds...I saw one, one time in
Keweenaw Bay...he flew down, grabbed a fish and
right back to the sky. Phenomenal!

Being able to see vistas of fall colors on distant
hills is my favorite part of fall color tours.

Even here downstate the maples have lost their
leaves. Well, not exactly lost, they are right there
on my yard. ;>)
