Diane Richard was up and at ‘em early recently to capture these brilliant morning scenes near L’Anse. The sky was colored, along with the clouds, making a stunning statement that morning has arrived. The haze on the water tells us that the morning air is getting cooler than the temperature of the water, creating an eerie look hovering over the surface like that. And how about that swing on the shore of Keweenaw Bay, with the leaves dropping to the ground? I’d love to be sitting there for a while, just enjoying the view and the quiet sound of the leaves gently falling around you. I think her bottom photo is in front of the Baraga State Park Campground on US 41...what a perfect display of the colors of fall here in the U.P.

We go from morning to nightfall, with In The Keweenaw, who said this about today’s video: “Sunsets in the Keweenaw rarely disappoint, but this one was epic!”

WOW!! I knew that was Diane's stuff...how
gorgeous...and yes, the swing is across the street
from the Baraga State Park, and the pic w/the
fence in front of the trees is the Park....the
most beautiful trees are right there. The best red
tree I have ever seen is the one in the middle of
that pic, back from the fence a bit. I loved fall
in Baraga...I love fall anywhere, but right there
is perfection! WTG Diane! (And Diane is one of the
sweetest people you'll ever meet...she probably
doesn't remember me...but I went to the gym when
she did...and we'd yap there..quite a few years
ago.)
