This week saw daytime temps range from 73 down to 37.  Keweenaw critters pack away provisions for the cold days ahead.

What a difference a month makes!  A few weeks ago, weather guy John Dee snapped a shot of the path which follows the old railroad bed between Laurium and Lake Linden.  Now he follows the same route and finds the flaming red and orange has all vanished, along with most of the leaves.

Unusual weather pattern over the U.P. and entire upper Midwest, brings moisture (and even a thunderstorm or two).

First the leaves turned green... then they turned gold... then they simply turned loose and fell off at Twin Lakes...

Unbelievable weather for October... feels more like August. Dan U. takes the opportunity for one more excursion on the lake...
