Nancy Haun found some color in Baraga County near a Beaver Dam in the Huron Mountains and then near the Peshekee River, by the Haypress Dam. The colors seemed to be popping in those spots. Then she headed to the Spurr/Michigamme area where the colors weren’t quite showing as much, but you can see they’re trying to, just not as bright and vivid. Nancy did say that the color is amazing as you leave Alberta and head toward Marquette, but the L’Anse/Baraga area is a good week behind that. The colors are ramping up now and of course we were experiencing high winds over this past weekend, so I hope the leaves haven’t been blown off the trees before you get a chance to enjoy the fall color.

Check out this video that Nancy captured by the Peshekee River near Champion, MI. The colors were gorgeous the day she was there. I say this every year, but I sure wish the fall season lasted longer.

So beautiful. Blue skies in Autumn are such a pleasure and great for more vibrant colors.

It looks like The Color is quite a bit behind "schedule". It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

I'm going to miss things "live" again this year. TWO years in a row is almost a new record.
