Today we welcome a new photographer to the Pasty Cam, Bob Fleury from 906 Superiorland Sunrises. Bob told me that he hasn’t missed a sunrise in the last 10+ years. Now that’s a lot of early morning camera dates! Today’s grouping were snapped near McCarty’s Cove in Marquette. First the lighthouse through the trees with the sunrise just beginning to color the sky. Then the remaining shots with the ice being colored by the rising sun rays and finally, the color viewed through the ice. Beautiful shots and quite unique, too! Thanks for sharing your talents with us all here on the Pasty Cam, Bob!

In The Keweenaw joins in today’s morning theme, with a Good Morning Keweenaw video, looking over the Portage Canal, along with Hancock and Houghton. Just simply stunning!

All of these are spectacular! My
favorites are the 2nd and the 4th.
It must have been wonderful to be
there to witness that. Love the
video too.

Hi
Actually, I like the first one best. The ice ones
would have been spectacular if there had been open
water or more ice in the background. But as it is,
the lighthouse is competing for my attention. Just
one person's opinion.

Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful, indeed!
The right place at the right time.

I'm in agreement with Kathyrn about the 1st shot being the best. Of the 3 different compositions with the translucent ice, I like the middle one but all 3 are beautiful.

It's difficult to get all the photos you might think about during that portion of a sunset as it doesn't last long. A few seconds later and it's gone.

Sunsets over the Lift Bridge are always a winner. I try to keep on watch for the MTU Lift Bridge webcam to deliver the next great one. Here's one I was late to catch so the time lapse had to suffice. It's from back in 2020.

Lift Bridge Sunset (thanks to MTU webcam)
