Fritz is at it again, he’s got Jeff, Chris and Rose Dennis out strolling the Lake Superior beaches in the moonlight. He doesn’t put a headlamp on, but his humans did, so they could see where they’re walking. The first beach excursion was out at the Gay Sands. The second beach adventure was at McLain State Park. Check out the moon shining brightly in that one. Jeff didn’t mention if Chris found any beach glass on these walks, but she’s usually combing the shoreline for some whenever she gets the chance.
The third photo is Fritz, modeling his new reindeer jacket. I just love the way he poses so stately for his photos. I wonder if that was one of his Christmas gifts. I noticed he has it on in the first photo, too. Looks like it will keep him warm on these cold, nighttime excursions.
Jeff also recorded a video when the family was hiking on the McLain State Park trails. He said it is kind of dark, but that’s what it looks like at night on the trails there. Good thing they had their headlamps on, although Fritz was leading the way without any hesitation or a headlamp on. He’s their fearless leader!

Did you find any Yooper Lites??? I hear McClain's might have some.
If Fritz was a person...he'd be up there with Fabio!
On another note, from the Keweenaw Reporter:
"Lake Linden-Hubbell shut down Wakefield-Marenisco 65-32. Emily Jokela scored 30, and became the second Lakes girls player to pass the 1,000 career points milestone. Angela Guisfredi VanWagner scored 1,331 between 2002-2005."
CONGRATULATIONS KIDDO!!!
Mary says: It was quite exciting to see a high school Junior achieve that 1000 point mark and quite special to have her two older brothers, Cory and Matthew present her with the 1000 point basketball after the game. Going into the game last night, Emily only needed 3 points to reach that goal and made a 2 point basket and then a three point basket minutes after the game had begun! So she's at 1027 points right now, if my calculations are correct, with the potential to reach much more, as she has the rest of this season and next year's season, too. Go Emily!

Very cool. I, personally, don't like going to the beach at night. I wonder if they got any interesting treasures? Fritz is as cute as ever.
Congrats to the Lakes girls. Way to go, Emily. I had the pleasure of watching that young lady pitch last summer. She is so good. That girl's got it all.

It's always been cool to walk the beach during a New Moon. It's very dark and you can hear the waves but not see them.
Looks like the Dennis's had plenty of light with a bright moon and also wearing headlamps. No Yooperlight stones will be found easily under those conditions.

And you are right D.A. You need the right light.

When we saw Emily pitch, she struck out 9 or 10 in a row. She was amazing! And plus she can hit the ball. Just wow!!
