The Covered Road on the way to Freda never disappoints. No matter the season, it’s a beautiful drive, but I have to say that Fall is my favorite, because the leaves just light it UP so bright. Deb Simons took these brilliant yellow photos, some with leaves already on the sides of the road and the trees starting to look bare. Others with the leaves hanging on...all of them just a treat to enjoy. I’m guessing that by now, with the wind, rain and even some snowflakes we’ve had lately, all or most of those leaves are now lining the roadside. But it’s nice to still pretend it’s fall here on the Pasty Cam.

Deb’s video shows some of the leaves beginning to fall. It’s fun to see the car driving down the road, too, as it’s riding off into the yellow tunnel!

Good stuff, Deb and it looks like it was a nice sunny day for a drive.

I've been hoping for some Covered Road shots to appear, and voila! And they're outstanding. Thanks Deb!

On a side: They were talking about a new movie
taking place in the UP called “The Marsh King’s Daughter”
that was based on a book written by Karen Dionne
who is from the UP. It stars Daisy Ripley (Star Wars)
and it looks pretty interesting.

It was a beautiful day for a drive. We were
late going because we went to MN to visit
our kids and grandkids. Then we got sick
when we came back. But I had to get there. I
was afraid I'd be disappointed. But, nope, I
still thought it was beautiful. And the
color everywhere else had more oranges and
reds. So it was a great day for a fall
drive. Hope you all enjoy them as much as we
did.

Absolutely beautiful pics & video Deb, thanks for
taking us along!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words on the passing of
my father in-law. Vic and I certainly appreciate it.

That is one stunning drive. me and Lou hit it, but
it wasn't sunny....but still, oh so beautiful!

Alex...that made the news and that book surely
looks awesome~

Yes, Alex, Ron Jolly was talking about that this morning too. Sounds good!

I always made time for this in the fall when I was
a student at MTU.

A couple years ago, I took my wife up and we made
sure that the Covered Road was on our sights to
see.

Always a must do trip, thanks Deb. Glad you caught it on a nice day, and didn't come upon any logging trucks. That's always my fear now, LOL.
