Deb Simons and her hubby Ron, have a new occupation this summer, tour guides for family visits. Her son and his family were here with them at Calumet Waterworks Park, locally known as Bucky’s and Deb had a keen eye for some interesting beach décor around them. It’s actually pretty neat to see the large logs and trees that have washed ashore under the power of Lake Superior. And of course there are always rocks to peruse in the hopes of finding some prized agates. This is a great place to unwind and do what you like to do best, the choice is yours. You can always find a spot to gather with the family and enjoy some time together by the Big Lake.

It sure looks like they picked the perfect day to spend there...my favorite shot is the one that Deb said she loved, too – that beautiful sunset through the trees photo. The shadows, the sun glowing, the white birch trees framing the scene. Yep, this one is canvas worthy for sure!

Deb’s photos end with a sunset, but our video today from Steve Brimm begins the day with a sunrise in Copper Harbor. Turn up your volume to hear the ‘peace and quiet’ of the morning!

Mary, you used all my favorites. You maybe

Last time I was at Bucky's I had trouble walking back up the stairs. It was quite the work out.

Alex, I thought the exact same thing about
those tablets when I took that picture.
Great minds.

And D.A., those steps are the worst. We
usually just walk up a path. Not a lot
better. I'll soon need a pulley.

Also, Deb...I didn't see your video of the log rolling on the water. You uploaded a photo of the log and titled it "Just rolling in the water. So Cool.", but I didn't see any videos on that post. Otherwise I'd have asked to make it public for sharing here!
