Lake Superior this time of year can be wide open blue waters or socked in with white ice, but on this day, Stacey Flood found it surrounded in white clouds with blue sky borders, along with icy volcanoes spitting cold waters out. It’s fascinating how many shades of blue there can be all around the Big Lake and how her shoreline changes from day to day. Stacey’s shots look like the ice goes out quite a ways, but I’m guessing it’s not a solid sheet of ice, so if you’re out exploring the shoreline, beware!
906 Images gives us a look at Lake Superior in an angry mood last week at the cove near Black Rocks. I love the way the rocks are frosted with snow and check out that wave action as they roll and crash into the cove there.

So nice to see the bright blue mixed in with those clouds. The video was awesome.

STUNNING! Wow!
Did ya see on TV6 news, the people that are into the "Cold Bathing" and are dipping into Superior and are totally enjoying it??
Beautiful pics and cool video. Just shows how tall those waves actually are, because the black rocks right there are quite tall above lake level normally.
