On one of the frigid days this past week, Jeff Dennis took a drive to capture some views from around the Keweenaw. He started out in Eagle River with a view of the beach, along with the changing room/toilet building. On this day, it looks like the ice was out pretty far into Lake Superior, with a few taller mounds. Next stop was just up the road so Fritz could say hello to the deer there waiting for some lunch.

They drove further on M-26, to Eagle Harbor, snapping a shot of the Big Lake splashing onto the rocks around the lighthouse and one of the buoy on the grounds there, too. Jeff mentioned that he doesn’t have a buoy, but would love to have one, even just a table made from the top of one, but for now he’s content with a light from one. The Eagle Harbor Marina road was Jeff’s next destination with the infamous tree in the middle of the marina road still standing tall and proud.

Last, but not least, on a different day, later last week, Jeff snapped a shot of the warning signage on the Big Traverse Pier, covered in see through ice. Convenient that you can still read the warnings. You can see some floating ice chunks, possibly pancake ice inside the irons.

We explore Bond Falls in Paulding Michigan with Cody McClellan. The warm winter weather earlier this week and being in the outdoors made for an amazing day!

OUTSTANDING!

Peanut butter on a bacon burger is delicious.
"they" say to add oil to the PB, and what I have, I
didn't think would work...so I added butter and
heat and eat....YUMOLA!

Thumb's up. Try it out!

Nice pictures. I just love that tree in the
middle of the road. I don't know why, but I
just do. I wonder if Fritz wanted to play
with the deer. But I guess deer are nothing
new to him.

That Red buoy is called a "NUN" buoy. There will also be a Green "CAN" buoy laying around there somewhere. It also has different shape, as it is cylindrical rather than conical.

Just remember as you are coming into port the Red buoy will be on the right. (Red, Right, Returning)

After seeing the reports about Lake Huron i immediately thought of Kathyrn Laughlin (Kathyl) and hoped it was nowhere near her cottage.

Alex,

You got me wondering if the Air Force found a way to get your pigeons to eat Alka Seltzers en'mass while flying or did they enlist Randy Johnson to hurl fast balls in their general direction?
