Judy Byykkonen and family took a hike in the Gratiot Lake area here in the Keweenaw. It looks like it was a glorious day for a walk in the woods, especially with all the leaves covering the forest floor. I can almost hear the rustle and crunch of those leaves under foot. The yellows among the greens are so pretty and then the reds and oranges chime in to make a full orchestra of colors. It’s hard to match the beauty of fall UP North.
To help prove the point of the last statement up above... we head to Marquette County to check out the colors along the Dead River and the Historic CR-510 Bridge.

Beautiful, Judy. Maybe some day I'll be as ambitious as you and get out every day to do stuff. I'm not holding my breath though. Nice job.

Looks like just about the peak of color in the Keweenaw. What a special treat this time of year, before Mr Lunta changes the scenery for the next several months, right? Enjoy these beautiful days while you can UP there!
