This is absolutely the best time of year to get out there and check out the waterfalls all across the U.P., but especially here in the Copper Country, since the melting snow is really making them spectacular to behold. Bobbie DeRoche and her sister, hiked to the Hungarian Falls over the weekend and snapped these shots to share with us. The weather has improved vastly, so it was a pleasant day for their hike and the reward was the rushing water they got to see and hear.
The fourth photo here today is an aerial that E. Neil Harri captured a few days earlier. The falls look so much bigger when you can see the entire cascade from the air like that.
Bobbie also made a short video from the top and the sound of the water rushing over is quite amazing, so be sure to turn your sound up to enjoy the full effect. For a perspective, in Neil’s photo, Bobbie would be standing on the large outcropping of rock on the right side of his aerial shot.
