We continue our CopperDog 150 coverage, with a few shots from the CopperDog 80, too. Chris Hendra is our photographer today, from over at Chris Hendra Photography. He was stationed somewhere on the trails and captured outstanding shots to share with us. The first three are from Saturday’s runnings. The weather Saturday was freezing rain and then during the night it changed to heavy, wet snow with about six inches overnight that covered the icy roads, trails and trees. Not sure what that means for the dogs and mushers, if that’s better or not. The dogs sure look happy in the photos, outside running with temperatures around 30°.

The last set of three photos Chris snapped on Sunday. The second to the last photo makes me chuckle, as the dogs all seem to be looking at the camera smiling! You can see the dogs and the surroundings look a bit more snowy than the day before. For more of Chris’ photos, click on over to his webpage here: ChrisHendra.com

We have a nice compilation video from Bryant Weathers to complete our coverage of the sled dog races this year. Fun to see the crowds lining the street.

Stunning. I LOVE the smiling dogs....they are doing
their thang. lol

On Discovering, they talked about the snow. A
couple of the sledders hit trees...

This is the first time I have ever volunteered at
the Copper Dog 150, and it definitely won't be the
last. The mushers were friendly and loved to share
their craft. It was just so much fun! If you ever
get the chance, take a few hours and volunteer for
one, two, or all three days!

Very nice pictures and video. Surprising
how many people went out in the icy weather.
We wanted to go but neither of us can afford
a fall with our knees. And on Sunday, we
awoke to all of the snow and ice having come
off of our roof. We were blocked in, lol. So
thanks to everybody who went and shared
their pictures with us.

Great pictures! You can see how much the dogs enjoy mushing!
