Chris Hendra, the guy behind the camera over at Chris Hendra Photography says he is successful capturing photos like these here today, because he’s looking for Snowy Owls from sunup to sundown most days. For that second shot, Chris added that ‘it was cool having this female snowy owl actually get closer to him while watching a field. Then he broke the hours long silence and told her a joke.’ Looks like the owl enjoyed his joke, too.

The fence-post shot has the Snowy Owl staring him down from afar, perched there in a country field. The barn in the last photo has seen better days, but that didn’t bother the Owl perched on the roof-line. I’m guessing it was a good spot to look out for her dinner.

As soon as I saw the barn I could hear Bill Withers singing "Lean on Me." Then I started searching for a Barn Owl.

These pictures are so cool. How lucky to be
there to find them. I didn't see the owl on
the barn because I was admiring the barn, I
guess. I love pictures of old barns.
