It’s that time of year on the shores of Lake Superior, when the wintry weather transform everything to a frozen winter wonderland. Joy Ziemnick was out snapping photos recently, saying that Mother Nature is a fine designer of this icy artwork. You can just about feel the chill there on the shores of the Big Lake, making you shiver just a bit, while viewing these in the warmth of your home. Joy said she loves when the winter waves glaze the trees like this and enjoys being out there capturing the beauty.

In the second photo, it looks like it was taken just downriver from McLain Park. That revetment wall sure looks familiar. Maybe Joy Z can answer?
