Brenda Leigh found some beautiful colors on the Mission Hill Overlook, surrounding Monocle and Spectacle Lakes. She said this was her first experience actually seeing Monocle Lake from the overlook and the timing and fog allowed this to happen. That’s Monocle Lake in the first shot with half of Spectacle Lake to the right. Brenda also said she journeyed up there three mornings in a row and took these photos the first morning. The last two days the fog was way too thick over Monocle Lake for it to appear.
The second photo is Spectacle Lake, with the hills at Gros Cap in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada in the background, along with Lake Superior in the view, too. Talk about being able to see for miles and miles.
MI Playground was up on Mission Hill checking out the Fall colors along Monocle and Spectacle Lake, too, and we get to go along with them.

Absolutely gorgeous! I'm so happy that I got
to enjoy all of these fall colors this year.
They're fading, but there's still so much
beauty in them. Thanks for sharing, Brenda!
