The weather this past week was perfect for fall color touring. Even kayaking... in October! Judy Byykkonen was out on Torch Lake and the Traprock River to take in the color surrounding Lake Linden. Her first shot is looking toward Front Street, with the Lake Linden-Hubbell Football Field just off to the left. Check out all the geese in Torch Lake closer to the shore, right about where the colorful reflections begin.

Then Judy captured a few already fallen leaves floating on the lake as she paddled by. They must be newly fallen, as their color is still vivid and rich. Her last photo is further up the Traprock River, which was so still, you could turn this photo upside down and not even notice. A perfect mirrored reflection.

With today’s Five Aces Media video for October, it completes a whole year of their videos, A year of Upper Michigan scenery, here on the Pasty Cam. We started back in November 2020 sharing their monthly video and I’m kind of sad that we’ve come to the end of this journey. Enjoy!

Beautiful pics & video!! Returned home last night
after a great camping trip/family wedding, to the
Northern Lower and Eastern end of the U.P.. Saw
plenty of nice color and really enjoyed camping on
Lake MI & Huron. But I ain't gonna lie.... My own
bed and shower felt really great last night!! lol

WOW. I got to go on a color tour yesterday. On my
darlin' Gram's 114th birthday~! She made sure it
was positively stunning!~ It's so unreal when God
takes out his paint kit!!
