Joy Wickstrom said it was a hot afternoon at Misery Bay and that there were more people out there than she’s ever seen, plus plenty of playmates for Sherlock. In those photos with the dogs all frolicking on the beach, it sure looks like Sherlock is smiling with joy, so happy to have doggie friends to enjoy the beach, running and jumping. Such a beautiful sandy beach, it is the perfect place to go to escape the heat and humidity UP North.
We join Dr. Nat (Nathalie Brandes) on a different UP beach, Brunette Park on the eastern side of the Keweenaw Peninsula. She’s going to talk about rip-up clasts and reduction spots in the Jacobsville Sandstone there at the park. If you have no idea what that means, be sure to watch the video. You’ll learn some interesting information about the “pretty rocks” and formations.

Wow!! That IS a lot of people at the beach! So cute to see Sherlock frolicking with some friends!
Thank you! I have been missing Dr. Nat's 'classes'. Saw where they had a great turnout for her speech at the mineral show.

LOVE the smiles on those dogs..that's just stunning.
Just FYI: you can access many more short geology videos like this, as well as all of her class lectures, on her YouTube channel. I included a direct link to that page below...
