Another month gone and summer begins to wind down now. We pause in our usual daily ritual here on the Pasty Cam, to remember those that have left us too soon:

In Houghton Co. Brian McLean was a vocal supporter of Pasty.NET in our early efforts to bring Internet to "off-the-grid" areas, as was Sheriff Ron Lahti in Keweenaw County (thankfully still with us). Without the backing of these two dedicated public servants, much of the Copper Country might still be lacking connectivity.

R.I.P Sheriff McLean.

July has been a difficult month for our family. My mother, grandmother, great aunt, and great grandfather, all in the same family, died in July. This year on July 13th our sister passed on, and at this moment my favorite Uncle is preparing to pass over. Our hearts go out to all who have had loved ones depart in July. May you be comforted in your sorrow.

And our dear sweet friend, Jamie. We love and miss you all so much.

For my Dad who past away this past December. He would
have been 103 yrs young this month! You did your duty
here on earth and now you can rest in God's loving
arms. I miss you so much.

One of the fellas that passed, had BREAST CANCER. I
hear it's really beginning to run rampant in males.
