Lake Superior and the skies above it are ever-changing. George C. Bailey shares some shots he took recently while he was waiting for the clouds to move out, about an hour and a half after the sun had set at Dan’s Point near Copper Harbor. He said the clouds were moving quickly and mentioned the beautiful sunset glow on the horizon. I especially like that you can see the stars behind the swiftly moving clouds.
The color in the last photo is pretty intense, coloring the underside of the clouds that were hanging on. Seems like we’ve been getting lots of dark red/orange sunsets lately, absolutely beautiful!
Steve Brimm over at Steve Brimm Photography gives us a look at Lake Superior around mid day, with a smattering of seagulls on the rocks, squawking away. The calm water gives us a double view of the sky and clouds, too.

The beautiful sunsets are because of the wildfires
in Canada and out west.

The shoddy work of despair,
the pointless work of pride,
equally betray Creation.
They are wastes of life.
