There was a bit of fog recently hanging on during the day in Marquette, especially around the Lower Harbor there. Stacey Flood was on hand and captured some fog shrouded photos to share with us. I absolutely love the marina shot, with the colorful tarps on the sailboats moored at the docks. Looks like they’re ready for a boat parade!
The old ore dock looks a little mysterious with the fog filling the open space underneath like that, even in the reflection. Then the geese swimming around the old dock pilings, I had to really zoom in to see if those were goslings and sure enough it’s a family of geese. After figuring that out, it made me wonder if that’s the Daddy goose standing on the piling in the fourth shot or maybe Mom, just taking a break from the kids.
Frances Czapski slows things down over at Whitefish Point, for a look at Lake Superior waves taking their time reaching the shore as the sun is setting. Sure is a neat perspective.
