Last week we visited the Eben Ice Caves and frozen walls in the Redridge area. Today we make a visit to another Icy attraction, this one near Munising at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Judy Byykkonen went on this adventure with her friend and was the first time there for both of them. These ice formations range from 20 – 50 feet of icy curtains, between Munising Falls and Sand Point, along the Sand Point Road. Judy did a great job capturing the icy beauty, the colors of the ice, the depth of the formations and the sheer height, too. What a breathtaking experience, to be sure.
Judy’s friend, Suyeon Griffin made a video of their adventure, from start to finish. It’s a little over ten minutes, but I recommend taking the time to experience this with Suyeon and Judy. Being able to see the icy walls without having to worry about slipping and falling, that alone is worth the watch.

Welcome to the Pasty Cam, Suyeon. Very entertaining video and great shots. Good to see Judy again. For many years Judy has been an outstanding contributor to this daily journey through the U.P.

Classic UP! I thought that Suyeon and Judy might accessorize the Caves...I was thinking Gucci!
