This past weekend was filled with visits from Santa in both Lake Linden and Mohawk, too. Santa rode through town, courtesy of the Lake Linden Fire Department, Friday evening and then stood outside the fire hall to greet children in their vehicles to hear what they were hoping he would bring them. There were also giant, blow-up decorations to pose for pictures by. Thanks to Shanda Jacques Miller for the Lake Linden shots.
Then on Sunday, Santa was in Mohawk, in front of the Allouez Township Fire Hall to greet the little ones and hand out bags of goodies to each of them. Such excitement in those little faces inside the vehicle and in the body language of the two little ones outside...one reaching for the goodie bag and the other holding back just a little, maybe apprehensive of the man in red. Thanks to Marcy Bessolo Hermanson for the Mohawk shots.
The last two shots are fun, because Santa is talking to Brita Haapala’s little girl from outside, (photo by Marcy Bessolo Hermanson) and the last photo snapped by Brita herself, of Santa outside the vehicle window, visiting with her daughter after having given her a bag of goodies. Christmas excitement for the littles!
If you’ve ever thought about becoming Santa, there are special schools for that. Today’s video features one of them. The Santa in the Lake Linden photo, is Santa year round, dresses the part, even in the summer and has Santa license plates on his vehicle. I think he might be the “real” Santa.

him.
