Autumn in the Copper Country is such a wonderful time of year. Explorations are more comfortable, with cooler temperatures, little to no bugs and throw in the colorful change of seasons and you know you have a definite winner. Chad Johnson knows that, too, and took advantage of an excursion along the Gay/Lake Linden road. He was rewarded with colors bordering him on both sides of the road.
His next adventure took him into the woods a little ways, to check out the colors up near the Quarry in the Lake Linden area. Both the second and third photos were snapped there. What a variety of hues he found from the various different trees planted there.
We’re touring Houghton and Hancock in today’s video feature from Steven Baumann. Just relax, sit back and enjoy the scenery.

A special time of year! The first pic reminds me of the time I drove to Tahquamenon Falls cruise'n down 123 on the Wing; it was a clear sunny day and the trees looked just like that pic...perfect.

It's been quite awhile since I've seen that level of vivid color along the Portage Canal. Wow!
