Gladys Collins and her hubby took a walk on the color side recently, with a trek on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail in the Marquette area. If you’re not familiar with this trail, here’s what their website says about it:
“The Iron Ore Heritage Trail is a 47-mile, year round, multi-use, interpretive trail that crosses the Marquette Iron Range in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Call us the outdoor linear museum where you exercise your body and mind. Those who bike, walk, run, hike, ORV, snowmobile, cross country ski, birdwatch, and/or wander will find a section of trail perfect for your activity.”
Check out the colors along the trail and I like the miner sculpture, depicting what the trail is named for. I would venture to say that this is probably the most beautiful time of year to be enjoying the trail. If you’d like more information, click on the underlined link in the first paragraph.
The LeClercBrothers uploaded the Pure Michigan video. It captures the essence of fall here in Upper Michigan perfectly.
