Today’s adventure is courtesy of Jeff Dennis and family. They took off this weekend, for a ride on their 2019 Polaris Ranger Crew 1000, for a trial ride from Crystal Falls to Iron River. Jeff said the trail was beautiful, with scenery and old railroad bridges and tunnels. His first photo is the Harrington Tunnel... the sign there says: Named for Larry Harrington for his effort to get this tunnel and other projects done on the Iron County Trails. Must be neat driving through that tunnel.
The next shot is obvious, it’s on the trail, riding along. I love that you can see the antlers Jeff has attached to the front of his Ranger Crew, leading the way down the trail.
Next, the Dennis family takes a break on the border with Wisconsin, where this old Chicago and Northwestern railroad bridge crosses the Brule River. It was the perfect spot for a picnic lunch.
In the bottom photo, the Dennis kids (both two legged and four legged) are posing in front of an arch that was part of a railroad trestle at one time. Jeff wasn’t sure, but thought it is where the Milwaukee Road railroad crossed the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad to get to the Iron River depot. Sure makes for a neat photo op!
Not only do we have these great still photos of the ride, but Jeff also shares a video of the adventure, complete with numerous bridge crossings, beautiful scenery, people floating down the river and a stop to change a flat tire. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride! Feel free to chip in for gas if you like.

What a fantastic video, shot and edited by the Dennis family. Very well done. I've been looking a the latest GoPro technology for my new ATV. I think they have some new stuff with image stabilization, a very much needed feature in these setting. But Jeff and family did a great job, all while having fun too.
Jeff and family have a very nice ride. I wonder if that front bumper and brush shield made from an old buck rack has served well, LOL. They were fortunate to make that river crossing while some rafters came through. Bummer about the flat tire but glad they had a spare. BE PREPARED.
I am so worried my recent back woes will keep me from ever duplicating the Dennis effort but I can live vicariously through their sharing of experiences. And that is keeping my hopes up and is motivating me to keep working hard at physical therapy, increase my strength and lose some more weight. I'm down 40 pounds since retirement.

40 lbs....way to go D.A.. I too, live vicariously through these pix and videos. I strength train every day which helps keep me UPright, although I don't think I'll ever see the UP again (maybe). M.S., it's not for the week.
Cool pix and video!
