Fred Koski, from Fred Koski Photography, captured a couple great shots of a rain storm passing by, out over Lake Superior. It always amazes me when this happens, that you can see the sheets of rain pouring down from the clouds from that far away. It’s also handy, because depending on how fast the storm is moving and in what direction, it gives you time to get to cover before it passes over you.

There’s actually something soothing about the sound of rain hitting the top of a camper, a boat or a tent. We have a short clip from Leif Anderson, who recorded that sound while camping in a tent, at the tip of the Keweenaw a number of years ago.

about the soothing rain.... however in a tent... I
just remember everything not really being wet but
moist for hours afterwards. With that said, get me
off the ground and in my travel trailer! AC is
nice as well! lol
