Marcy Bessolo Hermanson doesn’t let snow accumulate under her feet for long, before she’s out on an adventure like her photos today. She was joined by her husband and friends on a snowshoe adventure to the Lower Entry Lighthouse on the shores of White City and Lake Superior. It looks like they had some trail breaking to do and maybe a few trees that let go of their snow load on or near them as they passed by, but what a beautiful day for their adventure. Thank goodness the Big Lake was calm this day, so they were able to take a wintry walk out on the breakwall. Marcy said between the heavy, hanging snow, the blue skies and the appearance of the sun, it made for a great day!
While Marcy and company were snowshoeing, Brita Haapala from Brita Caroline Photography was out on her skiis at the Swedetown Trails in Calumet. She takes us along with her for a short ski on a beautifully groomed trail. Careful not to fall!
