It’s a happy day for the girls when their owner, Judy Byykkonen takes them out on the trails for their run/walk. They get to run and play without worry there and even without a lease. According to the sign for the Woodland Trailhead, all are welcome, skiers, snowshoers, snow bike riders and dogs. Not all trails welcome dogs, so this is a favorite for dog owners, especially in the winter. You can see how happy Judy’s girls are to be running on the trail with her tagging along.

I don’t know that Judy has tried this sport with her dogs, but Skijoring looks interesting. Although it might be a bit fast for me, I’m more of a snowshoe, slower pace kind of gal. Check out this sport for yourself, on the Noquemanon Trail Network of the Marquette Trails

So what if you're Skijoring and you dog spots a squirrel and takes off into the hinterlands?

Where is the Woodland Trailhead located?

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Monday, December 16, 2019 - 04:26 pm:

Linda York...it is part of the Swedetown trail system in Calumet. This map shows where the Woodland Trailhead is, just look at the bottom middle of the map. Hope this helps!

Great Pic's & Video! Great Background music as well.
Watching the video made me remember a cartoon from my childhood... The Jetson's perhaps all of you might recall the ending when George takes Astro for a walk on the treadmill and Astro jumps off and George is whipping around and around on it yelling " Help Jane, Stop this crazy thing!" lol
I immediately thought of that watch those dogs pull them on skis at about 8 mph, I'd be falling all over the place and smell like Icy Hot Rub the rest of the night!! :=))
