Barbara Bouwkamp has been taking a class in the evenings, so she gets to see today’s scenes quite often. This past week she took a couple photos to share with us all. She said the temperature was a warm 25° this evening and the reflection shows that ice had not started forming on the canal waters yet. That’s probably going to happen this week with the frigid temps we’re supposed to be getting.

The other landmark Barbara passes by while going to class is the Quincy Mine. She said this really looks like a winter sky, with the sun breaking through the clouds for a moment at least, so a photo of that was in order.

The Portage Lift Bridge video today had no ice on the canal at that time, either. Snow on the ground and a beautiful clear reflection in the water.

I never get tired of seeing bridge pictures.
