When Nancy Haun was on her way to Houghton last Wednesday, the skies were still dark from the rain storm, but she was treated to a beautiful rainbow against the clouds and disappearing into the sea of colored leaves along the road.
Meanwhile, that same day, Sally Beaudette was walking out of her Bootjack home and was greeted by what could possibly be the same rainbow. Do you think so? Her rainbow seemed to be coming out of the expanse of color across the lake and arching right over her house. Rainbows in the Fall make double the colors!
This fall, the colors have been spectacular and In the Keweenaw published another great video of the October color, having recorded the majority of this one last Thursday. Houghton and Hancock were awash with fall colors!

It looks like the color season was/is a tad later than usual this year, and the Peak Color seems to be hanging on a bit longer than usual as well. That works!

I agree with FRNash's comment about the peak color. I've thought the same thing. Those rainbows are spectacular. That drive to Houghton had to be epic. And to walk out of your house and see that rainbow like that had to be an experience. Loved the gorgeous colors in the video also. What a treat today!

Great pics & video! One question, how many fans does the football stadium hold?? Standing room only brings on a whole new meaning.

Pictures of rainbows never do justice to the live event so those must have been quite a site to see.
