Brita Haapala from Brita Caroline Photography took a hike on the Maasto Hiihto trail in Hancock last week and the colors were popping, especially the vibrant reds. She spotted a beaver dam along the way, also and captured a beautiful reflection shot with a large birch tree those busy beavers had chewed to falling. Brita asked if you can spot the two beavers in that last photo, saying it’s pretty hard to see them, but adding that there are ripples in the water where they are. I haven’t spotted them yet, how about you?
Nancy Haun could see the two beavers she found in Skanee, with no problems. Well, maybe a few problems, as she was laying on the ground atop sharp slate, so the video is a bit shaky in spots. Still neat to see them grooming themselves like that, though.

Heck, I can't even see the ripples lol. But I think they may be in the shadows of that great, big, beautiful tree. Great pictures!

They look like two itchy beavers, which makes me wax Chinese philosophical: "He who go to bed with itchy beaver, wake up with stinky finger."
