Joy Ziemnick, her hubby, Jim and their four-legged furbaby, Sherlock recently camped out at Point Abbaye. This point is northeast of L’Anse, jutting out into Lake Superior. Joy says it always seems so untouched and pristine when they’re there on the shores of the Big Lake. They’re so close to the water, they must feel like they’re in a boat, listening to the waves lull them to sleep in their cute little camper. For sure the scenery can’t be beat!
We’re taking a quick look at the view from Point Abbaye by video, today, too. Make sure you turn your speakers up, so you can hear the peaceful waves lapping at the Superior shoreline.

Point Abbaye is truly a great, remote Big Lake location. I was there in 2017. The road was in pretty rough shape, so much so I would not want to tow even an ultra lightweight trailer like the Ziemnick's. Kudos to them or maybe the road has been improved.
Gosh, I haven't been out there in many years. Still looks just as beautiful as always. Not to detract from today's theme, but Nat and I were in Phoenix last week for a conference. On our way back, we took a "detour" through SW Colorado and the San Juan Mountains to see the fall colours and such. To give everyone an idea (and my apologies for the small photo), here was the view from our hotel room one evening...
Wow, how beautiful!! Pic's and video!! Going to have to do a road trip before I get my next job!!
