Paul & Nathalie Brandes (a.k.a Capt. Paul and Dr. Nat) have been vacationing here in the U.P., going from one end to the other. One of their stops was in Sault Ste. Marie, where they made a visit to the Valley Camp museum. In case you’ve never been there, the museum is on board the retired freighter, Valley Camp, which is permanently moored in the harbor there. Their photos give us a look at the outside of the ship/museum, a neat shot looking down the deck and a view inside the pilothouse. It’s a must stop for anyone that loves watching the Big Boats as they sail the Great Lakes.

For more of a look around the museum, we have a video published by Soo Today back in 2017. Hope you enjoy the tour!

The day we were there, the Roger Blough and American Century passed right behind the Valley Camp and made for some interesting photos as well. Nat and I were back in the Soo yesterday and saw two more 1,000 footers (American Integrity and Edwin H. Gott) pass through. Nat says it's been quite the opportunity to see four 1,000 footers for only being in the Soo a short time.

Have toured the Valley Camp. Very interesting. Could not take my eyes off those life boats from the Edmund Fitzgerald. The Agawa(sp?)Canyon Train ride into Canada was awesome. A vacation to the Soo was one of the best. Bob is looking forward to his east to west U.P. trip on his H.D. Dyna Low Rider in a couple weeks.

The Agawa Canyon trip is great, especially in the fall. I've done it a
couple of times.
