Nancy Haun said she checks on these Loons once a week, to see how the young ones are doing and is delighted that this pair are taking such good care of their two babies. Nancy said these photos and the video were taken on a public access lake in the L’Anse area, where people live and play, but some reason that day, the loons seemed especially upset with her for invading their space, even though she never got really close to them. She just snapped the photos, made the video and went to a different section of the lake with her kayak.
Nancy’s video shows the display the adult loons put on for her. Make sure you have your volume turned UP, so you listen to that awesome loon call, you can even hear it echo in the distance.
