Standing on the Hancock side of the Canal, Judy Byykkonen snapped today’s photos. The first one looking toward the Portage Lake Lift Bridge down the Canal toward Houghton and Michigan Tech. Her second shot is looking in the opposite direction, with the Hancock Condos on Navy Street, to the right. No matter which direction you look, it’s a scenic view along the Portage Canal.
