Melanie Hakala Rossi and her hiking crew were at it again recently. This time hiking and exploring around the Cliffs near Phoenix. They found a number of beautiful treasures, but the prettiest one is the top photo. I’m hoping someone can help identify these flowers, I don’t recall seeing them before.
They also found some sweet treats! Wild strawberries soon to be ripe enough for a snack along the trails. These little berries are super sweet normally and make wonderful jam, too.
Take a drive around the Keweenaw with Douglas Feltman in today’s video excursion. Stops include: Hungarian Falls, Tobacco Falls, Haven Falls, Copper Harbor, Hunters Point, Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, Great Sand Bay, Jacob's Falls and Eagle River Falls. Buckle UP and enjoy the drive.
