Sharon Bodenus, from Upper Peninsula Photography, was recently around Marquette Harbor in a picture taking mood and snapped the first photo of the Ore Dock in Marquette Harbor. You might be so busy looking at the dock there, that you may miss the bench over on the right, which Sharon says is the “Best Seat in the House!”
Over by Presque Isle Park, near the breakwall, Sharon captured a shot of an interesting piece of driftwood on the shore. She says what’s even more intriguing about it is how folks get artistic and decorate it with rocks, each one adding something more to the artistry of the Big Lake. It’s neat that it stays there and no one feels the need to move it to another place.
If you’re wishing that you were sitting on the bench in that first photo, we have the next best thing for you. Sharon shares a video from a week ago, as she was watching an Ore boat come in to the Harbor and tie up at the dock. Sit back and watch the procedure with her.

Always enjoy pictures of the Marquette harbor - in the first one Sharon got the perfect angle to see right thru the bottom of the ore dock.
