About this time of year cabin fever sets across the upper Midwest. Maybe we could use a little break from all of this winter weather.

Ran across this today, happens to be a recording from this day in 1979 of TV-6 in Marquette. The bell bottoms, the big hair, tickets for NMU football, and numerous U.P. celebrities. Near the beginning of the second hour this music video appears. Some of the scenery reminds me of the golf course on the south side of Marquette. It's just a fun little clip that brings back lots of memories. Our family lived there in the mid-70's, and of course we've spent a lot of time building out Pasty.NET, which originates on the WHWL tower at the top of the ski hill (in Marquette County).

Don't let the weather get you down... Even as I type these words, hearing national news of tornadoes across the South, monsoons in the West, and more massive snow on the way in the North and the East. Spring will come one of these days.

Have a good week :o)

What memories that brings back Charlie. Big hair, big bell bottoms and leisure suits. Back before cable TV, in the early 70's, we'd sit around in Houghton watching a fuzzy, snowy Channel 6 in B&W because it was the only channel we could (sort of) pick up with the rabbit ears.

1 & 1/2 hours...will have to watch this one another time.
I heard a Cardinal singing in my backyard yesterday morning and this morning, as well. 8 degrees when I left the house, how do they survive in this cold weather, I wonder???
