Matt Behrens caught a shot of a friend (unnamed) trying to catch some perch in Au Train Lake when he wasn't looking. Then he emailed the resulting silhouette to Pasty Central... not the first time Matt has been our guest photographer (see October 12).

Over this past weekend it was so nice here in the U.P. that yours truly and son Jonathan were actually able to shoot 9 holes of golf at the Calumet course. More like July than November.

If the current forecast pans out, it will be wishful thinking.

Of course the computer guidance has threatened winter weather recently that did not pan out so we'll see, but it sure looks like winter may be coming to the Keweenaw soon.
