We’ve had some dandy winds and snow, with several Winter Weather Advisories and some school closings along with the weather. Nancy Haun reported that even with the amounts of snow blowing around, the roads from Skanee to Baraga were plowed pretty well. She snapped these photos coming into L’Anse to show how the visibility was at the time, not perfect, but at least it wasn’t a white-out.

Nancy’s bottom photo was taken on a different day when she made a visit to the Silver River near Skanee. Such a peaceful, beautiful scene, perfect for the hectic Christmas season, to sit back, take in the beauty and breathe for a moment. There, now don’t you feel more relaxed?

So if that scene didn’t relax you, today’s video from Kathy Archambeau should do the trick. Big, fluffy, Christmas Snowflakes, she called them and her capture of them is stunning! It’s truly a winter wonderland here in the Copper Country. The video has no sound, just the softly falling flakes.

Call me a schmo, but that’s a lot of snow,
and the reason why the UP is “Number One”.

Nice video; “Nothing wrong with quiet.”

Wish it looked like that here in Eastern Iowa.
Beautiful pictures!

More black and white pictures,
lol. Yet they're so beautiful.

We were at Kathy's a couple of
weeks ago and she was talking
about how much she loves those
big, fluffy snowflakes. They are
fun to watch, and catch on your
tongue.

I do just love the huge fluffy flakes coming down
like that!!

Come on snow....let's keep the U.P. the number one!
Yeehaw!

Nice winter pictures, beautiful and peaceful.
Although, sometimes these pics without the
sunshine remind me of the TV show, "Life below
Zero". lol

Target date for a road trip.... possibly February
2025 but we'll see. Following up after foot
surgery 2 weeks ago, the foot is improving slowly
and I am staying non weight baring as much as
possible. I'm not allowed to drive simply because
the Warden doesn't trust that if I get out of the
truck, I won't use my walker or crutches. I have a
pick line for this really potent antibiotic which
I give myself daily. Latest update, hoping Mid-
Jan. things will be much better.
Enjoy the Holidays Friends!!
