The weather has been unusually warm for this time of year and Marcy Bessolo Hermanson and her hubby took advantage of it and headed out to the shores of Lake Superior at the Mouth of the Gratiot River. Marcy said she just couldn’t get enough of these Keweenaw colors, plus she wanted to do a bit of rock picking and her hubby wanted to do a little fishing. You can see that Marcy was successful in her hunt for agates, with a look at the fourth photo...that’s sure a beauty! Marcy didn’t mention if her hubby was successful fishing and there were no pictures of any fish, so I’m not sure if he brought home dinner or not.

ever go home skunked? If Eric was
as lucky as my hubby, he went home
with no fish. But we're off track.

It'd be great to find a beautiful agate like that.
Rock hunting is sorta like fishing: you think you
could have success in the spot you pick but you
never know for sure.

Speaking of picking your spots, the shipwreck
hunters would have to have a rough idea of where to
start their search.

That first one is a real keeper! What a beautiful Autumn it was there. So good to continue to enjoy the beauty!
