When it comes to growing flowers in her Calumet yard, Jamie Rowe definitely has a green thumb. She said she just loves when her yard does its thing, but I don’t think the yard could do what it does without Jamie’s hard work planting, growing and creating all the settings for these beautiful flowers. Two of my favorites are the second photo, the Moss Rose Succulents and the last photo, Pansies are always pleasing, no matter what colors they are. But I may have found a couple new favorites in the third and fourth photos. Those Mallow Wort and Rose Mallows are so pretty, my hubby is the gardener here, so I’m going to have to make some new suggestions for next summer!

We join Sage Smoke Survivial for a look at the forest’s most useful resource – How to Use Pine Sap. He says it’s a survivalist multi-tool and goes over many of its uses.

On another note, if you’re looking for events to attend, be sure to check out Visit Keweenaw’s webpage for their event calendar here: Keweenaw Events. It’s listed by months, so you can just click on the month you’re interested in to see what’s happening. Get out there and enjoy the Keweenaw!

My favorite is the first one. I
love how she's got everything just
perfectly set up. Just gorgeous,
and an eye for what's pleasing to
our eyes. I love all of them. My
pansies did wonderfully this year.
You just can't go wrong with
those. And I just bought a couple
of hydrangeas this year. I'll have
to check out the others she has.
They're all so beautiful.

How cool...most of them are edible.

AND if you take Hydrangeas and let the water
evaporate and leave them alone, they'll dry just
like that...BEAUTIFUL!

interesting vid...

Beautiful flowers

What do they taste like, Donna?

The hydrangea 'tree' is something i've considered getting. Very nice display!

As for the vid...... seems like you could find fiber somewhere else than deer pellets. But that's just me.

Hydrangea are very popular by me in NW Illinois.
It's almost a competition for the best grooming.
They seem to last a long time throughout the Summer.

Deer Pellets? What?!

I was thinking the same thing Donna. Maybe Deer pellets also have some secret or unidentifiable ingredient?
