As I mentioned on yesterday’s Pasty Cam, after the storm last week, we went back to upper forties and even fifty for the temperatures the next couple days. Cat Mikus shares a few photos from the Bootjack area showing bare ground and the sun shining bright. But looking out at the lake, you can see it must still be winter months, as the ice is covering the waterway and there are patches of snow on the grass. If this weather continues with a storm and some snow, then warming up like it has been, it will be spring much earlier than we’re used to here in the Keweenaw. On the other hand, it is only March and traditionally we get a few good storms into April even, so it remains to be seen what this strange winter will do. In the meantime, we’ll just have to enjoy the ride.
We have another video look at “ice. Lake Superior. Keweenaw”, from Steve Brimm today. Number three for Steve this week, so that makes it a ‘hat trick’ or a ‘turkey’ if you’re playing hockey or bowling. He always manages to capture what’s happening in the Keweenaw just right!

The sunshine really makes the scenes appealing - thanks Cat! I'm sure everyone has seen that now the businesses impacted by the nearly snow-less Winter can apply for help. Hope it's enough for these good people.
Another great 'turn up the volume' vid from Steve - so good! Thanks Steve!
