Braving the elements during a recent wind event that produced gale force wind warnings, Cathy McKenzie and her friend Marcy Bessolo Hermanson (yes, the same Marcy who has shared photos here on the Pasty Cam before, too), headed out to Eagle Harbor and the shores of Lake Superior. Cathy said they had a fun adventure despite the cold wind and temperatures. You can see in the second photo they got some pretty good spray action from the waves. It was cool to see the icicles frozen along the shoreline and they felt frozen, especially their fingers, but were having too much fun to care. Their smiles say just that!

Steve Brimm calms the water down in his video, shot at Fort Wilkins State Park. He shares the song of broken ice shards with moving water and mentioned that this is usually more common in the Spring. Make sure you turn your speakers UP!

Cool pics! The only difference between
#1 & 2 are the waves, otherwise they’re twins.
I see a lawn ornament in #3 which is odd.

My favorite is the picture titled "Frozen
Shoreline". It shouts out "COLD". I'm sure the
weather was what my mom would call "raw", the kind
of damp cold that really chills you.

Hey, wait a minute. It looks like it might actually be Winter UP there.

I think I can hear her saying, "OK, stand behind me for just one more wave."

Holy wha...they are "just" friends?? They do look

have heard that sound...but on a super cold below-
