The Dennis family did a bit of paddling on the Sturgeon River last week, with Captain Fritz directing the way. He sure is a lucky dog to go on all these adventures with them, while Jeff and Chris Dennis do all the work and picture taking. On this day, Fritz’s interest was piqued by a number of different critters, beginning with a butterfly that landed on the tip of Jeff’s kayak. Next they spotted a beaver who decided to swim right by them. Good thing Fritz didn’t try to jump in and go after him. Then over on a log, they spotted a Wood Turtle and went a little closer to check him out. In the bottom photo he seems to be keeping an eye on Fritz. I’m glad it wasn’t a snapping turtle. What a fun adventure and one that kept Fritz busy with all the critters they saw.

Jeff recorded a video of the beaver as it was swimming by them. How neat to get that close to it as the busy beaver was going on his way and quite quickly I might add.

Neat-0 pix and the video reminds me of
swimming with the dolphins at SeaWorld.
I wonder if he took that video on porpoise or just for the halibut.

That seems a bit fishy Alex. Let minnow if you have any suggestions on how to get schooled on this.

Wall-eye don't know. The sturgeon down at the health fishility looked at these fish comments and just replied Oh My Cod. Then, after baited breath, he clammed up.
