Debbie Jarve took advantage of the blueberry season here in the Copper Country, with two of her granddaughters recently and it looks like they picked quite a few berries. Those first two photos it look like you could reach in and grab those plump blueberries right through the screen. That’s the way I like to pick them, too, when there are clumps of them ripe for the picking. Debbie’s helpers did a good job filling their pails. I sure hope they popped a few handfuls in their mouths for a snack to keep up their energy. What great memories for the girls to go picking with Grandma like that. I see a pie or crumble in the Jarve family future!

Back nine years ago, the word “Yooper” was added to the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

Those look good enough to eat. We didn't go
this year. That's the first time in a long
while. Knees just weren't up to it. We only
use them for pancakes anyway. We still have
some in the freezer from last year. Nice
job.

Beautiful berries....and when you find a spot, you
don't tell anyone! I made that mistake decades ago,
got my berries picked before I got there. grr..THEN
a house got built on it. :D
