Debbie Jarve was at the Swedetown Ponds recently and said the Swans and Cygnets haven’t been in the ponds near the road for a while now, but if you go on the four wheeler trail, they are in the pond way in the back. She captured some beautiful shots on a peaceful morning walk around the ponds. Debbie said all four of the Cygnets are still there with the parents and you can see, especially in the first photo, how much bigger they’ve gotten. I love the shots with the swan flapping her wings both in the water and then on land, too, like she was telling them to get out of the water and then giving them a talking to once they were settled on shore. And what about that close-up shot? That dark eye seems to be staring right at the camera, making sure Debbie is keeping her distance, I bet. Outstanding!
FunInTheUP’s Yooper Steve is taking us on a short adventure climbing Bare Bluff, relaxing in Bete Grise and Lac La Belle. So neat that he records these videos so you can get an idea of what the hikes are like. He also has the YouTube channel – TourDaYoop, which we’ve shared adventures from too.

Great to see the trumpter swans doing well, and to have all 4 cygnets still there is amazing! The parents are doing a good job at keeping the predators away.

These are beautiful. What a fun walk that must have been. We were just talking about Bare Bluff the other day. And today it turns up on pasty.

Swans are so grand. They also don't like to let the geese hang around.
I am very happy I finally made it to the top of Bare Bluff before I got too old & decrepit.
Glad to see Steve later showed some of the trail hiking. At first it appeared one could drive all the way to the cliffs.

We're thinking of doing a "Here we are..." from Bare Bluff. Haven't made it up there yet though.
